Dr. Liu's research focuses on uncovering the genetic basis and biological mechanisms of disease through the integration of computational genomics, statistical genetics, and human genetics. Dr. Liu is particularly interested in interpreting disease-associated genetic variants using functional genomics, single-cell omics, and gene regulatory networks. The lab also has a broad interest in understanding the genetic architectures of diseases across diverse populations and in enhancing the portability and accuracy of genetic prediction models.
